Ingredients:

2 racks of baby back ribs
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup barbecue sauce (homemade or store-bought)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup chicken or beef broth

Instructions:

Prep the Ribs:
Start by removing the membrane from the back of the ribs. This helps the flavor penetrate the meat better.
Season the ribs with salt and pepper on both sides.
Make the BBQ Sauce:
In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. This creates a flavorful sauce for the ribs.
Layer in the Crockpot:
Pour the chicken or beef broth into the bottom of the crockpot.
Cut the racks of ribs into smaller sections that will fit in the crockpot.
Dip each section of ribs into the BBQ sauce, making sure they’re coated evenly.
Layer the sauced ribs in the crockpot, stacking them if necessary. You can brush on additional sauce between layers.
Cooking:
Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone. The cooking time may vary depending on your crockpot and the size of the ribs.

Finishing Touches:
Once the ribs are cooked, you have two options to finish them off: a. Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Carefully transfer the cooked ribs to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Brush on more BBQ sauce and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized. b. Grilling Method: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the cooked ribs on the grill and brush with more sauce. Grill for about 5-10 minutes, flipping and brushing with sauce, until nicely charred.
Serve and Enjoy:
Once the ribs are finished cooking in the oven or on the grill, remove them and let them rest for a few minutes.
Cut the ribs between the bones and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
These Crockpot Barbecue Ribs will be tender, flavorful, and have a delicious smoky taste from the slow cooking process. Enjoy them with your favorite side dishes for a satisfying meal!
